Below is
a list of some of the equipment you might see our team use during the
course of an investigation. the technology of paranormal investigation
changes all the time and, as items are added, we will try to list them
here. this is just a basic sampling of some of the most - used
equipment.
digital
voice recorder
the digital voice recorder allows us to capture "evp's" or "Electronic
voice phenomena". this is voices or sounds that were not readily audible
to the human ear at the time they occurred but were captured by
electronic means.
non-contact infrared thermometer
the non-contact infrared thermometer allows us to track temperature
changes that many believe spirits cause. the theory is that a spirit
drawing energy to manifest in some way will often cause the temperature
in the area to drop radically.
"Mel" meter
the "mel" meter measures both electro-magnetic fields and ambient
temperature. it is theorized that spirit activity often causes a high
electro-magnetic field (emf) level. high emf readings in certain cases
can also cause those exposed to them to experience hallucinations
and/paranoia that can, at times, explain perceived paranormal activity
that is, in reality, perfectly normal.
the "kii" or "k2" meter
the k2 meter is also used for measuring "emf" readings. the k2 is not as
versatile as the mel meter but is often used as a form of communication
with spirits. often, you will hear an investigator request that a spirit
"walk near this device and make the lights come on". there have been
many good results using this tool as a communication device.
night vision or infrared video camera
for obvious reasons, a night vision video camera is a valuable tool. the
majority of our investigations are done at night.
digital camera
this is our most valuable tool for attempting to collect visual evidence
of spirits. |
